Thank you to Callad and Gillian for running training last week, and also thanks to Simon and Russ for helping out.
What a pain that the matches have been cancelled now for the last two weeks. It is frustrating and brings back memories of last season and the back log of games toward the end of the season.
Games can only be cancelled (it is the home teams call) if the pitches are unplayable, or the weather would pose a danger to players or spectators (lightning, flooding etc).
We only have limited spaces to rearrange games so I try everything I can do to get the games on.
I have rearranged the Broadclyst game for Saturday 29th November at King George V playing fields.
You will see that on the League website it has the game listed as being at Broadclyst but they have no pitches available so we are hosting the match at KGV.
I will try and keep the table on our blog up to date as best as possible and will do my best to make sure that everyone knows what is going on!
So as things stand the run up to the Christmas break is as follows ……
Saturday 22nd November - home against West Exe Youth in the Cup (10.30am)
Saturday 29th November - home against Broadclyst in the league (10.30am)
Saturday 6th December – home against St Martins in the league (10.30am)
Saturday 13th December – home against Sidmouth Warriers in the league (10.30am)
Saturday 20th December – home against Twyford Spartans in the league (10.30am)
So a busy time. This will be complimented with training midweek at Isca (6-7pm) as normal.
Also just to flag up the two social events coming before the festive break
Friday 12th December – Players Disco (7pm to midnight) (I have tickets at £7 if you would like)
Saturday 13th December – Players and families Christmas lunch at Waterfront, Exeter (£10 per adult and £7 per child)
That’s all from me I think, thanks again for being such a supportive team.
See you on Wednesday for training (6-7) at Isca College.
Cheers
Mark
