Twyford 1 (0) Central City 0 (0)
On a blustery day in Tiverton, with a very bumpy playing surface, this was never going to be an attractive game of football.
The match kicked off with City having a slight advantage with the cross wind blowing diagonally behind them, but they never really got to grips with the conditions. It wasn't until 30 minutes had passed before they were able to put together their first flowing move, but nobody was able to finish off the low cross into the box.
The half time whistle blew without incident or excitement.
The second half commenced with City playing into the wind and Twyford soon started to edge the match. With very few chances being created it was City who handed Twyford the lead. A free kick into Twyford box was under hit and City were caught with a huge gap between their defence and midfield . A swift break lead to a through ball that bounced up off Noah and Twyford were able to score past the City defenders that were stood on the line. A couple further chances passed for Twyford with City never looking like stealing an equaliser.
Everybody was happy to hear the final whistle as it was a game that won't live long in the memory. The 1-0 result was a fair reflection of the game.
Well done to Zak and Sam for solid performances in defence.
